Pure Anada

Did you ever stop to think about what might be in the lotions and potions you apply to your skin every day? Skin eats! What are you feeding it?  Scientists at the David Suzuki Foundation say dangerous chemicals inhabit many of today’s skincare products. Try carcinogens, pesticides, formaldehyde, reproductive toxins, some stuff known as plasticizers – you know, the chemicals that keep concrete soft – and degreasers (used to get grime off auto parts), just to name a few. Yikes, send that meal back!

Green Beauty

Calling all who identify as human that care about their skin. Come visit Pure Anada’s newest boutique in Cochrane and breathe a big sigh of relief to find it’s all about “green beauty.” Founder, Candace Grenier has been creating safer alternatives to traditional, main-stream cosmetics for the past 16 years. All-natural ingredients for skincare, face, eyes, lips, hand and nail, bath and body are ethically sourced from around the world (locally when possible) and are even gluten free! Everything is made in Pure Anada’s certified-organic lab and manufacturing site in Manitoba. And in case you were wondering, nothing is tested on animals.
Family friend and boutique manager, Tiffany Banman, was very excited to open the only Pure Anada Boutique in Alberta in Cochrane’s Historic Downtown in August, 2019. It has already become a destination for locals and visitors alike. Why Cochrane? This is a company of traditional values and they wanted to find an inclusive community that reflected those values. What’s not to like?

Breathe Easy

As soon as you step inside the town’s former pie shop, you get a sense of serenity, calm and cleanliness. There’s a lot of product here but everything is displayed in a way that doesn’t feel crammed or cluttered. And there’s no overpowering smell like you’ll find in the cosmetic departments of mall stores. Knowledgeable staff will show you collections made with luxurious botanicals and food-grade minerals, all of which sound good enough to eat. Do your skin a favour and take it to lunch at Pure Anada today.
