1. Cochrane to Water Valley to Bergen to Lochend Loop

The Cochrane-Water Valley-Bergen-Lochend Loop takes approximately 2 hours to travel without breaks, but you’re going to want to stop and experience rural tranquility and small town charm along the way!

Fuel up with a perfectly brewed coffee and fresh muffin at Cochrane Coffee Traders before you hit the road. You’ll find the Water Valley area low in traffic, giving you plenty of opportunity to enjoy the sprawling acreages and farmland on a sunny day. Keep your eyes peeled for the historic Dartique Lodge, built in 1934.

In the Bergen area, you’ll also find plenty of picturesque farms and ranches, but don’t miss out on visiting artist Morton Burke’s Bergen Rocks International Sculpture Park, hosted from his acreage.
