Broom Workshops – The Cobwebber

Learn a practice steeped in tradition – Create and take home your own broom with guidance of a skilled and experienced instructor.

In this workshop, participants will learn the process of making a cobwebber-style broom that they will then take home with them. Broom-making is a practice steeped in tradition, and each broom you create is functional.

Spring Pussy Willow Wreath Making

Step into the spring season with a day of hands-on fun at Early Dawn Farm! We’re bringing the beauty of the season right to you, using lush, locally foraged materials to spark your creativity and get your hands moving. This workshop is all about rolling up your sleeves, diving into nature’s bounty, and crafting a piece of spring that you can show off and hang on your door! This is a fund raising event for Dartigue Hall, with Dawn Kay.

Trial by Mud

Learn how it’s done in a 2 hour session on the pottery wheel with a proficient instructor. Fun will be had by all! We’ll start by demonstrating on the wheel, then give you lots of time to create some pottery of your own, and at the end we’ll take a few quick minutes to clean up the classroom together.
The price include all that’s needed for a great experience. Just bring clothes that you are ok with getting dirty!

Beginner Stained Glass Workshop

Calling all bird lovers! Join us for a fun and creative morning where you’ll make three adorable stained glass birds. Foothills Art Club Spring Art Show & Sale

Paintings will be on display for sale in the main gallery, along with dozens of small artworks in the Boutique. Acrylic, oil, watercolour, pastel, multi-media and graphite are some of the mediums used. Club members will be on hand to talk with you about their paintings and to answer any questions. Come out and see some truly wonderful and unique artwork.

Cochrane Spring Farmers Market

The Cochrane Farmers’ Market starts the 2025 Season – indoors – at the SLS Centre. These markets are a great way to support local ‘make, bake and grow’ vendors while we wait for opening day at our outdoor summer market. You’ll find a variety of products and vendors, including favourites from our summer markets – replenish your pantry, fill your freezer, or find unique and handcrafted items to fill your basket.

Easter Pop-Up Market

Bring the whole family out on April 19th for our Easter Pop-Up Market at SLS Centre (curling rink).

Shop and visit with the local vendors while the kids participate in our fun Easter Egg Scavenger hunt, colour their entry for the colouring contests and have their faces painted. The first 200 kids to complete their scavenger hunt receive a goodie bag!

There is a small $2/person or $5/family entrance fee.
