The Cochrane & District Ag Society provides first-class facilities and programs that reflect Cochrane's regional heritage, bridging town and country for a strong community.
The Ag Society hosts the Cochrane Fair, an iconic annual three-day action-packed weekend. The fun begins on Friday night and runs through Sunday. There are community events, activities and western competitions across the grounds, with horses and cowboys and cowgirls, trick riders, wrestlers, ropers, bull riders, mini chuckwagons, mutton busters and more. Do all the rides on the midway and stick around for the evening entertainment. Come early, stay late!
Ag Society Facilities include:
- Indoor 120' x 200' heated arena with a 74' x 142' riding surface, a large staging area, and cattle handling equipment for roping.
- Pole barn with a 120 horse stabling capacity, a 125' x 250' outdoor arena complete with cattle handling equipment, and a 65' x 130' outdoor arena.
- Dressage rings and stadium jumping rings
- Cross-country course
- seasonal vehicle storage
