Great Backyard Bird Count

It’s here! The Great Backyard Bird Count is happening! We’d love to know what you’re seeing in your corner of the world.
- Doing the GBBC is easy:
• Watch birds anywhere, anytime, from February 17–20. Then, tell us what you find.
• Merlin is the easiest way to enter your individual bird sightings online—just ID one bird and then tap “This is my bird!” to start the process. Here’s more info on how to download the app, sign in, and report your sightings.
• Alternatively, use the eBird Mobile app or eBird.org to tell us the number of birds and report larger lists of birds.
• Repeat! Count as many times as you like across the four days of the event—every sighting helps our global total grow.
• Birding is better when it’s shared: tell folks what you’re seeing on social media with #GBBC- and #visitcochrane or #explorecochrane for a chance to be featured!
