Reading in the Park

Reading in the Park Cochrane in partnership with the Cochrane Public Library & Silent Book Club Cochrane. Come join us for a relaxing afternoon of reading in the beautiful Mitford Park! Grab your favorite book, a comfy blanket, enjoy the fresh air and a little live music while diving into your next literary adventure. Whether you’re into fiction, non-fiction, mystery, or romance, this event is perfect for all book lovers. So pack your picnic basket, bring a friend or two, and immerse yourself in the joy of reading surrounded by nature. Don’t miss out on this wonderful opportunity to unwind and escape into the world of words! Keelyn Thorogood will serenade us from 6ish – 7ishpm before we settle into silent reading together. Keelyn (@keelynkeelynkeelyn) is a nineteen year old singer-songwriter from Cochrane, Alberta, who has spent most of her childhood studying classical voice and piano. In recent years, she has begun exploring different styles of music and is currently working on releasing her first EP, a co-written set of music titled Afterthoughts. Keelyn’s sound is heartfelt and warm and it is greatly inspired by the likes of The Civil Wars, Leith Ross and Wasia Project.
