This weekend It’s all about giving back to your community!
SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL FARMERS
Your Cochrane Tourism Team wants you to know what you can experience when you visit your local farmers market. You have the opportunity to talk to your local farmers…to learn about their products and their operation…so make sure you take the time to have a chat! Talking to customers and sharing their passion for their locally grown products makes their day!
Markets are the best farm direct marketing channels for both vendors and customers alike. Our local producers want to offer you something that the local grocery store might not have yet. The Market is filling a need in our communities by providing fresh produce grown close to home. Not sure how to use these local products? I’m sure they would love to share their spring recipes…just ask!!
LOOK AFTER THE YAMNUSKA WOLFDOG SANCTUARY
After visiting the Cochrane Farmer’s Market, the CTA invites you to visit the Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary.
The Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary, located just outside of Cochrane, is a non-profit organization that promotes responsible wolfdog ownership by providing a variety of educational programs. Meet the 10 wolfdogs packs, with 29 permanent wolfdogs, 12 of which being ambassador wolfdogs. The wolfdog ambassadors are the wolfdogs that take front and center stage at events and sanctuary interactions, to help educate the public about the importance of wolf conservation. These wolfdogs have been rescued and now are safe at the sanctuary in naturally beautiful enclosures. They also touch on the importance of preserving wolves in the wild!
General Admission (Ages 6+):
