This two session course, the first of which was on May 3rd, offers culinary tips to allow you to preserve the bounty of your garden harvest or farmers’ market purchases so that you can enjoy the bounty of the season throughout the year.

Preparing your recipe ingredients in big batches for freezing makes meal preparation a quicker and easier process. We will give you an overview of a myriad of preservation techniques including cold storage, canning, freezing, dehydrating, pickling, fermenting, jams, jellies, vinegar, syrup and alcohol infusions, and baked goods for freezing.
