Celebrate with Mom at Yamnuska Wolfdog Sanctuary

Mother’s Day is just around the corner and we invite you to join us for a day of celebrating the mother’s and motherly figures in our lives. We will be hosting a day of celebration to give thanks to both our wolfdog, and human, mothers and hope you can join us for some amazing themed enrichment activities that will be happening throughout the day! These engaging mom themed activities are available with your admission to all tour types, so take a peak below at what you can see on May 14th:
11:30pm: Giving Momma Meeka a Flower Bouquet
Meeka is one of of the resident mom’s at the Sanctuary, in which we were able to rescue both her, and her children! Come meet this momma wolfdog and join us in giving her a gift of flowers for Mother’s Day! Will she scent roll on them? Who knows, but you can come and see!
1:00pm: Mother’s Day Brunch for the Wolfdogs
Human Mom’s in the crowd will help us choose an assembly of delicious food that our guide will give to Iiqooa, another resident mom of the Sanctuary. She works very hard taking care of her son, Sylen, and we think she deserves a great Mother’s Day brunch!
2:00pm: Howling Homage
Join us for a pack howl where we will work to sing with the wolfdogs for a happy Mother’s Day homage! We hope the wolfdogs will join us in howling to thank all the mothers in attendance!
3:00pm: Moms, Meet Mawko
Mom’s, let’s face it, you deserve a real treat on this day. Therefore, we will be bringing out one of our social wolfdogs, Mawko, to come and greet the crowd!
You are more than welcome to book all tour types in advance to ensure you and your mom have an amazing experience, but drop ins are welcome for the Sanctuary Walk and the Intro Tour (if space is available). We hope that you can join us in celebration on Sunday, May 14th, throughout the day to pay homage to these amazing people in our lives.
Please note that due to unforeseen circumstances, these activities are subject to change if needed, but we will do our best to uphold the Mother’s Day theme!
